Add a feature that automatically uses materials from nearby chests when crafting items.
It would be interesting if every recipe created could pull items directly from nearby chests and not be limited to the players' inventories. This would make it easier even for multiplayer: all players would just gather the resources in the chest so that everyone could build.

Squonk, that's because voting has been disabled for this feature. -

MidnightBelI only ask that if they have this, have a way to disable it too with a checkbox. Whether that be a chest that doesn't allow pulls, or in the crafting itself because if you live with others and everyone gathers their own materials and wants to have some saved for themselves for what they are working on, it doesn't take from their stuff too.

JoshThis should be a default feature in every crafting/base building style game and folks should have to turn off if they don't want it. Not sure why this hasn't become ingrained in the minds of game designers everywhere at this point.

pinguHey everyone! :)
This thread has one of the most upvotes overall.
Imho this feature is not urgent at all right now and there is more important stuff, because the number of materials and craftables rn is very much manageable tbh.
However
if more 'stuff' is coming and the number of materials increase with time - which I believe - then we need some feature like this for sure - but NOT right now.
for that time in the future:
I was thinking more like 'wearable' upgrades and/or new recipes that boost some stat for 10min.
You craft some expensive upgrade/mod/wearable and instead of having it in your inventory/hotbar your character wears it (boots/gloves/belts..).
They do different things like letting you have a craft radius/let you dash forward(on CD)/fly or run faster, stuff like that.

Little MissPersonally I don't want it. But if they allow for this feature to be turned on/off by players - then by all means go ahead.
